Adamawa Governor Sacks Executive Council.
New Governor of Adamawa State, Mr. Bala Ngilari, has announced the dissolution of the state executive council.
According to SaharaReporters, Ngilari also sacked all political
appointees who assumed office in July after Speaker of the Adamawa State
House of Assembly, Ahmadu Fintiri, became acting governor upon Murtala
Nyako’s impeachment.The newly inaugurated Adamawa Governor announced the sack in a terse
statement signed by his chief of staff, Alhaji Chubado Tijjani.The statement directed all affected office holders to hand over all
documents and other government properties to permanent secretaries in
their various ministries.Heads of statutory commissions were not affected by the sack. Recently, Bala Ngilari has said that his former boss, former governor Murtala Nyako’s removal from office paved the way for him to become governor although the lawmakers were only doing their constitutional job.
