Enemies of Jonathan are mischievou.

A youth leader from Bayelsa, Jude Tabai, yesterday, in Abuja, described as mischievous those who have refused to acknowledge the monumental strides that the President has recorded for Nigeria in the last four years.

In an interview with Vanguard, Tabai, who is the Coordinator of the North/South Project for All, pointed out that Jonathan had paid his dues by implementing the promises he made to Nigerians and should therefore be rewarded with another term of office in 2015.
Tabai said that apart from fulfilling his campaign promises to Nigerians within the first tenure, Mr. President had also revived ailing national infrastructure like railways and airports in Nigeria thereby adding value to Nigerians.
According to him, Jonathan has also proved to be a true lover of education by establishing nine new universities in Nigeria thereby broadening opportunities for Nigerians to acquire tertiary degrees.
Asked why Jonathan has not been able to crush insurgency in the north despite several assurances, Tabai said that it was necessary for him to exercise caution in that regard as some selfish politicians were out to accuse him of committing genocide if he goes full blast to tackle the insurgents.
“Today, Jonathan has emerged as the most peaceful president that Nigeria has ever produced and we should understand where he is coming from,” Tabai said.
“Any attempt by the government to go all out to crush the insurgents would be misinterpreted by the enemies of the administration as committing genocide.
“To us that is why the northerners, who bankrolled this insurgency are not speaking against the atrocities being committed by the sect which has virtually grounded the North-East.
“Our main concern is that despite the monumental achievements recorded by Jonathan his opponents have deliberately refused to accept the fact and give him his due regard as an achiever. Instead of that they want to demonise him so that he would not return in 2015.
“We are however confident that majority of Nigerians are solidly behind Jonathan and nobody can stop him from winning re-election next year even though he is yet to declare his intention,” Tabai said.
Two weeks ago, all organs of the PDP adopted Jonathan as their sole candidate closing the road to any other contender from the party. But the president is yet to formally accept and announce his intention to run in 2015.
However, Tabai described the endorsement by the PDP as being more important than a formal declaration by the President.
