Bank Donates $1M To Affected Countries:UBA

According to report the donation was announced by Board Chairman, Tony O Elumelu and will be shared equally among the three worst affected countries; Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.
The United Bank for Africa (UBA) has announced a donation of $1million to aid the fight against Ebola in West Africa.
The donation was announced by Board Chairman, Tony O Elumelu and will be shared equally among the three worst affected countries; Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.
Elumelu said:
“Africa is our home and our destiny – and Africans need to place themselves at the forefront of the campaign to overcome this tragedy.”
“This donation is an affirmation of our unshakeable commitment to the continent – and a message that Africa can triumph over this terrible affliction,” he added
A sum of $100,000 will also be contributed to the African Union Support Mission to the Ebola Outbreak in West Africa (ASEOWA) which was initiated by the African Union Chair, Nkosazana Dlamini- Zuma.
