Paul Play Slams Etisalat With N200m Lawsuit.

According to source ,The award-winning artiste is asking Justice Chukwujeku Aneke to compel Etisalat to pay him N200 million for using his song, Mosorire in its popular reality series, Nigerian Idol, for two consecutive years without seeking his consent.
paul
Paul Play Dairo
Daily Independent reports that , in the suit marked FHC/CS/581/2014 Optima Media Group was made co-defendant.
Dairo, in the affidavit filed in support of his suit and deposed to by himself, claims that, “I am the copyright owner of the work named and tagged “Mosorire”, contained in my repertoire, exclusively for the jurisdiction of Nigeria and the authority or permission to exploit such work can only be obtained from me.”
“However, the defendants, being an organiser of a television reality show tagged, ‘Nigerian Idol’, caused the use, adaptation and deployment of my said work titled, “Mosorire” on the said show without my consent, and which was broadcast to several millions of television viewers throughout the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the rest of Africa for 2012 and 2013 editions.”
He said the defendants particularly infringed on his copyright when one of the contestants on the show to reproduced and performed his song.
Paul Play claims that as a singer and composer, he was entitled to an annual fee of N100m on the said track, as commensurate with his effort in putting the work together.
He also claimed that having made use of his work without obtaining licence from him, the defendants had caused him loss of income, while “they have made gains and improved on their own brand image.”
The artiste, therefore, sought a declaration of the court “that the act of adaptation, deployment, public performance and exploitation of his musical work titled ‘Mosorire’ by the defendants without the plaintiff’s prior consent, authorisation or permission constitutes an infringement of the plaintiff’s copyright as guaranteed by the Copyright Act, Cap C28, Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 2004 and sections 6 (6) (b) and 44 of the 1999 Constitution.”
He pleaded with the court to award him the sum of N200 million against the defendants.
However in 2013 Paul Play Dairo dragged MTN and Ultima Limited to court for the unlawful use of his smash song, “Angel of my life” in the popular reality TV show, MTN Project Fame West Africa. -

Watch Kim Kardashian's Sexy, Funny T-Mobile Super Bowl Ad!

You don't have to wait until the Super Bowl to see Kim Kardashian's funny T-Mobile commercial.
The reality star teased the 30-second spot on Twitter early Monday morning, and now the ad has made its way online.
As you'd expect, it mostly focuses on the thing she's most known for: Taking selfies.
"Each month, millions of gigs of unused data are taken back by wireless companies. Tragic," the 34-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star monotones.
Kim then goes through all the things people can see online with that data they've lost.
"Data you paid for can be used to see my makeup."
"My backhand."
"My outfits."
"My vacations."
"And my outfits," she concludes. "Sadly, all lost. Help save the data."
Kim stopped by the ET set on Monday where she talked about her role in the ad, which will play during the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 1.
VIDEO: Is This the Sexiest Super Bowl Commercial Ever?
"The commercial is so funny and I think for once, you know, you see I'm kind of poking fun at the idea of the ridiculousness of everyone and their selfies," Kim said. "I love it. I'm a big fan of selfies. I've taken them for decades."
Check out Kim's entire interview in the video below, where she also opened up about the rumors surrounding her step-father Bruce Jenner.

John Legend & Chrissy Teigen Style it Up for GQ Magazine’s February 2015 Issue

GQ Magazine (1)
There’s so much style and so much PDA in this feature that we couldn’t ignore it.
Singer John Legend and his model wife Chrissy Teigen are featured in a stylish spread for GQ magazine’s February 2015 issue with the magazine profiling them as ‘Mayoralty of the City of New York’.
According to GQ, ‘The couple—outspoken, high-achieving, à deux eaters of Chipotle in bed—are New Yorkers foremost. Grammy winner Legend is a fifteen-year resident of Lower Manhattan; he wooed model Teigen here when he still lived on the Bowery. And while a lot of famous people (say they) live there, these two are actual residents. They are tiny-restaurant regulars, they are side-street wanderers, they are local-bodega shoppers.’
For their spread, photographed by Anders Overgaard, John & Chrissy look so good together rocking complementary styles and luxury brands.
